Tharo Service Contracts are available
for 12-month periods. They can be
purchased when the printers or
applicators are originally purchased or
at any time during the standard factory
warranty. The extended warranty period
will begin when the factory warranty
expires. Service contracts may also be
purchased for units no longer under
factory warranty. Inspection is required
prior to the issue of a Service Contract
if the warranty is expired.
The original printer warranty period is
for 2 years, (*see exceptions
below) from date of shipment by Tharo.
Expendable and/or consumable items or
parts such as lamps, fuses, labels and
ribbons are not covered under this
warranty. This warranty does not cover
equipment or parts which have been
misused, altered, neglected, handled
carelessly, or used for purposes other
than those for which they were
manufactured. This warranty also does
not cover loss, damages resulting from
accident, or damages resulting from
unauthorized service.
For the Tharo H-400 and H-400R Series of printers, the printhead warranty is 2 years from the date of original shipment by THARO SYSTEMS, or 2,000,000
linear inches of use, whichever comes
first. For all other THARO H and V Series of printers, the printhead warranty is 3 months (90 days) from the date of original shipment by THARO SYSTEMS, or 1,000,000 linear inches of use, whichever comes first. For Datamax printers, the printhead warranty of 1 year (365 days)
or 1,000,000 printed inches of use
applies. This warranty does not cover
printheads that have been misused,
altered, neglected, handled carelessly,
or damaged due to improper cleaning or
unauthorized repairs.
The 12 Month Service Contract covers all
labor, material and surface
transportation charges to return the
product to customers within the 48
contiguous United States and the
District of Columbia. The Hot Spare
Contract additionally includes the
replacement of one printhead per
contract year and same day overnight
shipment of a Hot Spare replacement
printer (if notified no later than 11:30
AM EST). All shipping costs, custom
clearances and other related charges
outside this area are not covered by
these Service Contracts. All prices are
subject to change and are reflective of
the cost of replacement parts.
* THARO Exceptions:
H-400 Series Printers - 2 years on mechanical and electronic parts.
* DATAMAX Exceptions:
Mark II E-Class Printers - 1 year from the date of shipment.
Mark II M-Class Printers - 1 year from the date of shipment.
I-Class Printers - 1 year from the date of shipment.
H-Class Printers - 1 year from the date of shipment.
Mark II A-Class Printer Engines - 1 year from the date of shipment.
*** All Datamax peripherals and accessories include a standard limited warrant of ninety days. |
