Parallel Port communications Settings for EasyLabel and Windows Drivers |
Under some operating systems, setting the parallel port to ECP or EPP will cause problems in EasyLabel and Windows drivers. Especially when bi-directional parallel is used. These include sentinal problems and jobs not leaving the print queue.
EasyLabel uses 'nibble mode' for bi-directional parallel communications. This is part of the IEEE-1284 spec to allow the use of a standard uni-directional parallel cable for bi-directional communications. In the BIOS select the Normal, Centronics, Centronix, Compatible or Standard setting for the Parallel port insterad of ECP or EPP. |
