When using a TEC printer, the job stays in the print queue with a status of "printing". The label doesn't print until the job is canceled from the EASYLABEL print queue.

Assuming that the baud rate, data bits, etc. are correct, the cable configuration may be incorrect.  Check the cable configuration against the specified pin-outs in the EASYLABEL help file.
