Barcodes print with large blocks from Word 2000

Edit the data in a barcode using the back-space and then retyping more data makes the barcode print with blocks in the barcode.

Word 2000 adds an extra backspace when the backspace key is pressed. They diappear when the doc is saved and re-loaded. Save and re-load the word document before printing it.
