Rainbow Sentinel attached to PCI Parallel Port

1.  Download and install the newest Rainbow Sentinel Driver from our website. 

2.  Install the driver.

3.  Go into Device Manager and check the setup of your parallel port.  The important items to write down are Type of port and Location. 

 4.  Go to the Resources tab and check the value for the value for the first Input/Output Range.  Write this value down.

 

 5.  Through My Computer, go into c:\ Program Files\Rainbow Technologies\Sentinel System Driver double click on SetupSysDriver.exe

 

6.  Click on Configure Driver.

7.  Click Add

8.   Enter  the Bus Address, Bus Type and Port Type to the Add Port screen.  These are the values that you wrote down when looking at the port in Device Manager.  Click Ok and the click OK again to add the port.  This should allow the Sentinel Drivers to see the Sentinel on your PCI parallel port.  Note:  Any alpha characters in the Bus Address must be entered in lower case.
