ODBC, data source, message, define data source |
The customer is prompted for the database table every time they open the format for printing, or editing.
The "database system" that the customer chose was actually an ODBC driver, and not a data source. The customer actually may not even have a data source defined in the ODBC administrator. The customer should choose a "Data Source" that they have defined in the ODBC Administrator. If they do not have one defined, they should open the ODBC administrator, and choose the appropriate ODBC driver, then select "add". They can now give the "Data Source" a name, and select a path to associate with this name. This will cause EASYLABEL to always connect to the database that this path defines. We suggest using a System or File DSN depending on the database location and usage. |
