Difficulties Setting Print Method on the Apollo Series of Printers

A customer set the front panel of the Apollo to Direct Thermal but after powering up the printer they get a Ribbon Out error message

The Apollo printer was fitted with a memory card which had a format stored on it called 'default'. When a format is called 'default' the format is automatically initiated after power up. The format was set up for Thermal Transfer. The format on the memory card was over writing the front panel settings.


1. Change the format attributes to Direct Thermal. 2. Remove the memory card if not using formats on it. 3. Rename the format something other than 'default'.
