Ribbon Saver(fault message)

With Ribbon Save enabled on the 600 the printer displays either 'Head Up Fault' or 'Ribbon Saver Fault'.

Firmware problem.

Upgrade the printer's PIC (Programmable Interface Chip) chip to version 'C' or higher and firmware version 2.06 or higher. Since there are two different versions of the 600 board it is necessary to determine if this is a version 'J' or 'K' board to decide which firmware to send. Version 'J' requires P/N 51-2126-01 at positions U28 thru U31. Version 'K' requires P/N 51-2170-01 at positions U24 thru U27.
