Invalid or Missing Password When Using a Paradox Database File

Invalid or Missing Password' when trying to connect to a Paradox database file. The message occurs under the field specification screen even though the Paradox data file is not password protected.

The message occurs because the Paradox ODBC driver is incompatible with the Paradox database file. As of 2/95, the Paradox ODBC driver that is currently available from Microsoft only supports Paradox version 3.5

There are two workarounds:

1) Obtain a newer ODBC driver from a third-party vendor: Intersolv at 1-800-876-3101. Intersolv's ODBC driver supports Paradox versions 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0.

2) Save the Paradox database file as version 3.5
