Save As, using formats as templates, avoid making changes to important formats, Read-only |
Customers that use a standard "template" type format to create other formats by making minor changes are accidentally clicking the Save button. Therefore, the original format that they use as a starting point has been changed.
Through Windows Explorer, locate the original formats that are to be used as templates. Right-click on the file and choose Properties. From the General tab, check the "Read-only" box under Attributes. This will allow you to open the file in EASYLABEL and make changes, but if you attempt to "Save" it, you will get an error message. This will remind you that this "read-only" file cannot be altered. However, you will be able to perform a "Save As" and rename the file. |
