After opening a format, EL seems to stop functioning. You are unable to create a new format, open an existing format or print a format

The filename contains a period ( . ) other than the one that precedes the file extension. As of version 3.3.1.105, EL is recognizing all characters after the first period that it sees as the file extension. This problem will be corrected in a future release.

In the meantime, all periods from the filename other than the one that immediately precedes the file extension.
