When trying to use the Status 4 option on a Sato printer, there is no communication.

The dip switch settings may be incorrect on the label that is on the serial interface board. We have a serial card that has a typo on the label.

Check the dips on the serial interface card (DSW1). The dips for Status 4 should be DSW1-7 and DSW1-8 set to ON. Also, be sure that the software is set for bi-directional and that the proper cable is being used.   The printer must be set to Multi-Buffer from the front panel.
