When using Windows Drivers, Barcode symbologies appear smaller when working with Microsoft Word 2000 |
The size of the various barcode symbologies differ, on the user interface, depending on which version of Microsoft Word the user is operating. The printed label is correct.
In older versions of Microsoft Word, the application was defaulted to use the installed printer driver to lay out the document. In Microsoft Word 2000 this option is disabled, therefore Word uses an internal built-in metrics system to lay out the document. This makes all documents look the same no matter what printer driver is installed. If you want to use the installed printer drivers to lay out your document, perform the following steps (1) Select Tools|Options from the top menu bar. (2) Select the Compatability tab from the Options dialog box. (3) Under the available options select "Use Printer Metrics to lay out document". |
