For Windows 2000:

From the Windows Control Panel, double click Regional Options. With the General Tab selected change Your Locale to Chinese or Japanese. Change Language Setting For The System to Chinese or Japanese and set it as the default.  With the Input Locales tab selected, add Chinese or Japanese to the Input Language list and choose a corresponding Keyboard Layout/IME.  Reboot the PC. In Easylabel, make sure Download Fonts is set to NO.

For Windows XP:

Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.  Double-click Regional and Language Options.  Click the Languages tab and make sure the Install files for East Asian languages has been checked.  Click Details under Text Services and Input Languages.  Click Add under Installed Services, and then click the language you want to add and the keyboard layout you want to use for that language.  You will want to include the Microsoft IME as a choice for Chinese or Japanese.  To configure the settings for the Language bar, click Language Bar under Preferences.  This is where your elect to show the Language bar on the desktop.  Easylabel is a non-Unicode program and as such, it needs help from Windows XP.  Under the Advanced tab and Language for non-Unicode programs, set the language to Chinese or Japanese.  You will be prompted to reboot after clicking OK. In Easylabel, make sure Download Fonts is set to NO.
