The underlined Alt keyboard shortcuts are not visible in the menu in Windows 2000 and XP

They are hidden by default, unless the Alt key is actually pressed.

To change this, Right click on the desktop and select "Properties", click on the "Appearance" tab, click the "Effects" button, and uncheck "Hide underlined letters for keyboard..."
