Tharo Systems, Inc. manufacturer of the Tharo H-Series printers, a new stand-alone label printing station that, once label formats are downloaded from a computer, can be remotely operated and perform many software functions using a keyboard with no computer attached. The new thermal/thermal transfer label printers set new standards in flexibility of use, security, and standard, out-of-the-box features.

Download label formats, graphics and databases to the printer's Flash Memory (or a CompactFlash Card), disconnect the printer from the PC, plug in a standard PC keyboard, and take the printer to another location. Using the keyboard, you can input data, specify the number of labels to print, and merge database information into your format...all without a computer attached. The H-Series printers provide greater security as well, because a format downloaded to the Flash Memory cannot be altered without re-attaching the printer to a PC.

Ideal for companies concerned about the additional cost of a computer, saving work space, harsh environments for computers and training "computer" operators, the H-Series was designed to work with or without a computer, giving companies more flexibility in meeting their labeling requirements.

Tharo Systems, Inc. the author of EASYLABEL software for product identification, bar code and RFID labeling, has developed a CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) based printer driver to add printing support for the Tharo H-427, H-436, H-626, and the H-634 thermal transfer label printers, under UNIX-like operating systems. This driver can be configured to control the optional cutter, rewinder and applicator of the H-Series printers as well as directly print from applications installed on the following operating systems: Mac OS X, Linux, BSD, Sun Solaris, IRIX, HP-UX

Tharo Systems Inc. announces the latest addition to their product line of Print and Apply systems, the PA2000t/b Tamp/Blow Label Printer/Applicator. The PA2000t/b Tamp/Blow is an accessory for Tharo's H-Series thermal transfer bar code label printers.

The PA2000t/b Tamp/Blow features a smaller footprint, 16.5" wide x 30" long for the H-400 or 19.5" wide x 30" long for the H-600, than other Printer/Applicators, with a remote front panel for easy access, regardless of the orientation of the applicator. It has an all-metal construction and is made to last with time-tested components.

With or without a computer attached, the PA2000t/b Tamp/Blow can print and apply labels. It has the unique ability to apply labels to convex, concave, or flat surfaces, on either top or side of a product. The adjustable product sensor stops the Tamp Pad between 1/2" to 2" from the product - from there the label is blown on.

Tharo Systems Inc. takes great pleasure in announcing their new THARO H-427 and H-436 Series of Thermal Transfer Label Printers suited for high volume printing. These all-metal printers are available in 203 or 300 dpi. The printers feature a full backlit LCD display, standard Real-Time clock, uses ink In or ink Out ribbons, 450 meter capacity. Serial, parallel, PS/2 and USB interfaces are standard. Stripper sensor for strip-and-peel or tear-off applications is standard as well. In addition, the H-Series contain internal memory and a slot for an optional external compact flash card for storing downloaded label formats, graphics and fonts. Using this memory, the printers can be operated without being connected to a computer. Along with all of these standard features, the THARO H-427 and H-436 also ship with a complimentary version of Tharo Systems' EASYLABEL Start software for custom designing and printing bar code labels.

EASYLABEL 5 Platinum's XML Monitor will "watch" a file directory or TCP/IP port and will automatically print your RFID or bar code labels when a compatible XML file is received. This feature provides a direct connection to Oracle or any other application capable of generating a properly formatted XML file.
